After replacing a couple of H&M point motors the base board was replaced.  The alignment proved a problem and after much investigation one track was deemed to be at fault.  It was by an angled edge to the board which had been extended with a small wedge shaped piece of chipboard.

Yesterday we striped off the adjacent board and glued a small wedged shape support under the offending board section.  We were just about to strip a section of track out to fix the small board extension down to the support next week when we noticed the alignment had returned.  We now deemed it moving when we bolted the boards together so looks like we only need to relieve the section so that it does not rise up.

This makes us happy bunnies - we don't need to lift track.  I will report back next week with progress...
