Automating Yeovil Town

The first stage of automating our Yeovil Town layout has commenced.  We have fitted two 8-way LDT block occupancy detector units.  The track feed (red) has been rerouted through the detector boards and the track power also connected to the boards.  We have fed the power for the boards not from the track but from the separate accessory bus to keep the track bus for operating trains only.  The remaining connection from these boards is the Lenz RS bus (RS485) which has been installed into the power and control box below the control desk.

This completes the first fiddle yard end with the second to be completed shortly (within the next week).  We will have to set up the modules to be the correct address and ensure we can see the occupancy working on Train Controller Gold on the laptop.
