Egg on Face!
Ok, I put my hands up. When we tested the currupt locomotives on the rolling road we used the main ZTC 511 controller (on the programming track). They ran ok in both directions and then it downed on me what was wrong.
The hand controllers ZTC 622 needed calibration...
Just a simple task which I will do next Saturday and all my broken locos will be instantly fixed.
On the plus side we ran sound chipped Daphne a pepercorn specially named after my club mates late wife. We ran a sound chipped Mallard and then pulled some Devon Belle coaches with an observation car on the back. The first thing we ran was a sound chipped pennsylvania which seeks out problems with the track. They all coped very well although we did find some joints that we can improve next week. We ran so many trains last Wednesday that the club could have thrown us out as it was such a rare thing lately.
Things are going well at the moment and we will soon start the last piece of hand built track to complete the second loop.
