YMRG First Open Day

The gauntlet was thrown down at the last AGM when Graeme proposed an open day.  We all agreed not known what was involved but as it got to within about 6 weeks of the 19th June 2011 we all panicked!

The general arrangements were fine but a last minute scramble to hire a loo went to the wire...

Some layouts needed much work on them to make them presentable.  The whole of the chicken shed needed a tidy up (a working party fixed this) and teh outside was like a jungle so another working party strimmed down grass (feet high!) trimmed overhanging branches and mowed the grass.

We were left with sufficient space to park all the visitors cars.

On the whole it all went well, there were a wide variety of visitors who all seemed to enjoy the day.  Layouts were run such the we all had snag lists to work on after the event which in itself was a good thing.
