Yeovil visit Taunton Model Railway Club
|
All here at Yeovil Model Railway Group (YMRG) enjoyed our visit to Taunton Model Railway Club (TMRC) last night.
The Chairman Doug Cranney gave us a warm welcome as we arrived and a cup of tea with cake! what more can you ask for? Well even more enjoyable was the constant exchange of views and experiences between members of the two clubs.

Taunton MRC members ran and explained the club layout which included Bath Green Park which can be extracted separately for show at exhibitions (using some extra boards). It always impresses the visitor as a well made, well run model.

During the evening there were many discussion about the layouts on show and other topics. The Taunton MRC members were pleased to explain the inner workings of the layout at which we all took an interest.

Two of the wives accompanied the men to Taunton but not just as passengers, one is Olivia the only female member of the Yeovil group and the Other Linda who does not get involved in construction but like the exhibitions. |

The suggestion was that the two clubs get together at least once a year with may be an invite to Weymouth club when next held in Yeovil so that more modellers can meet and enjoy a couple of hours of what modellers do best, natter!
Thank you Taunton MRC for a great evening.
