Well it has to happen, we now have an N Gauge test Track.  John Marshall had bought a second hand double track layout quite some time ago and had stored it at the club. Two years ago Olivia expressed an interest in N Gauge even though her eyesight is not so good!  After buying a twin circuit DC controller and a couple of new reduced locos from Hendford Halt we gradually collected some wagons etc. from various exhibitions and once again Hendford Halt. 

This layout is situated below Hen Ford Run so we have named it "Lower Hen Ford"!

At that time the old baseboard was rewired for with a DIN plug for both tracks to be independent and some test were carried out.

Just recently (September 2008) Olivia was offered a box of bits in N gauge, which has three locos.  The price could not be agreed until they were tested so we set up the old equipment and tested them.  It became apparent that we needed an N gauge test track and with John's agreement Olivia now has the task of reconstruction of the layout to an acceptable standard so that we can all benefit from having the test track.

As you can see by the images it's in a raw state at present but will soon be looking much better as Olivia has embarked on making a frame for the layout and Paul will add some points motors and simple stud control panel before she completes the scenery.
